$50K Investment

Beyond the Lab IAP participants are eligible to apply for a $50K investment from E14 Fund, with up to three teams supported in this cohort. Investments are structured as founder-friendly SAFEs with no cap and no discount, and will be executed once teams are ready to incorporate and accept funding*. E14 will provide hands-on support around incorporation and funding readiness throughout the process.

  • The fellowship investment is into companies with founders that completed work / graduated from MIT. Current students don’t qualify for the investment fellowship.

  • The program does not preclude you from participating in other investment or non-investment programs either before, during or after your participation. In fact, we encourage you to explore other programs on campus such as Sandbox, Delta V, DesignX, VMS and the many other amazing resources available to you. If you’d like, we could help recommend some for your own situation.

  • The Fellowship Investment, is designed to be most founder friendly. We believe that at this very early stage of the business, putting a valuation or a valuation cap is not fair to the founders. Therefore, our fellowship SAFE investments are made at no-cap and no-discount.
